Golden Globe Awards ke 67

Sekali Lagi Keanehan Di Gloden Globe

Tanggal 17 Januari 2009 tepatnya di Hotel Beverly Hills Hilton acara penghargaan Golden Globe ke 67 di adakan dengan pembawa acara Ricky Garvis yang tengah melejit setelah apiknya performa di film Ghost Town dan The Invention of Lying. Seperti biasa, pengumuman penghargaan itu pasti memunculkan pro dan kontra.

Sedari awal ketika malam nominasi, saya merasa kurang setuju dengan keputusan siapa dan apa saja yang dinominasikan. Brad Pitt di film Inglorious Basterds sesungguhnya bermain bagus meski durasi yang ia mainkan tidak lah lama, tapi apakah hal itu mengurangi penilaian. Anthony Hopkins yang dulunya cuma bermain 3 menit saja sudah memenangkan Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture di penghargaan oscar tahun 1992.

Saat acara pengumuman, saya lebih geram lagi ketika tahu Avatar lah yang memenangkan Best Motion Picture - Drama. Semua orang juga sudah tahu bahwa cerita yang dibawakan pun bagi saya biasa saja, dibandingkan dengan film Up in the Air dan Inglorious Basterds yang jelas - jelas memiliki lebih dari kekuatan ceritanya. Mungkin saya akan uring - uringan sekali jika sampai Sam Worthington atau Zoe Saldana masuk dalam kategori best actor atau actress karena akting mereka sama sekali tidak ada kejutan. Juga kurang setujunya dengan pemilihan Hangover sebagai pemenang, padahal saingannya Nine lebih paling diunggulkan dari segi cerita, karakter dan artistiknya.
